Pasta with cream cheese and tomatoes recipe details
Ingredients
400 g | cream cheese |
1 clove(s) | garlic, minced |
1 tbsp | parsley, chopped |
salt and pepper | |
½ tbsp | chives, chopped |
1 | shallot, chopped |
1 tbsp | basil, chopped |
cayenne pepper | |
4 large | tomatoes, diced |
500 g | pasta |
1 tbsp | oil |
75 ml | single cream |
½ tbsp | tomato puree |
Worcestershire sauce | |
4 tbsp | freshly grated Parmesan cheese |
Instructions
Cook the pasta in salted water until al dente, then drain.In a saucepan heat the oil and sauté the garlic and the shallot until lucent. Stir in the tomato purée and cook for 1-2 minutes. Add the tomatoes and cook for 5 more minutes. Stir in the cream cheese and the cream and simmer stirring until well combined. Add the parsley, chives and the basil. Season to taste with salt, pepper, cayenne pepper and Worcestershire sauce.
In a large bowl, mix together the cream cheese sauce and the cooked pasta. Serve sprinkled with Parmesan cheese.
