Parmesan crusted tomatoes recipe details

Ingredients
Serves: 4- 2 tomatoes, cut in half
- 2 tablespoons plus 1/4 cup butter
- 4 green onions, chopped
- 3 tablespoons dried bread crumbs
- 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 cup shredded Swiss cheese
Preparation method
Prep: 5 mins | Cook: 5 mins1. Preheat broiler to high.
2. Set tomato halves on a large baking sheet, cut side facing up. top with 2 tablespoons butter, then place under broiler about 4 inches from the flame. Cook for about 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
3. Stir 1/4 cup butter and the onions together in a glass bowl. Microwave on High for about 2 minutes, then add bread crumbs, Parmesan, salt, and garlic powder. Stir well.
4. Heap the bread crumb mixture on top of the tomatoes, then top with cheese. Return to the broiler and cook for another 2 minutes to brown and melt the cheese.
