Overnight baked french toast recipe details
- Ingredients
- 12 eggs
- 4 cups milk
- 2 Tablespoons vanilla
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons nutmeg
- 1 loaf French bread
- Topping
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1 cup melted butter
- 1 cup syrup
- 1 cup crushed nuts
Slice French bread into 2-inch slices and arrange in 10 x 13 x 2-inch baking dish sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Mix eggs, milk, vanilla, nutmeg, and cinnamon; pour over bread. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
In the morning, prepare topping by combining brown sugar, melted butter, syrup, and nuts. Carefully flip the bread slices and cover with topping. Bake at 350 degrees for 60 to 75 minutes until thoroughly done. Remove from oven and allow to rest 5 minutes before cutting.
