Oriental meatballs recipe details
Ingredients
2 | oranges, 1 orange juiced and 1 tsp grated rind, fillets of the other orange |
250 g | yoghurt |
salt and pepper | |
3 | carrots, sliced |
2 bulb(s) | chicory, leaves separated |
3 sprig(s) | mint |
2 clove(s) | garlic, minced |
600 g | lean lamb mince |
2 tbsp | breadcrumbs |
1 tsp | curcuma |
1 | egg |
60 g | sesame seeds |
2 tbsp | oil |
50 g | raisins |
1 tbsp | harissa |
Instructions
In a bowl, mix together the yoghurt, orange juice and rind. Mix well and season with salt and pepper.In a separate bowl, whisk the egg. Add the garlic, harissa, lamb mince, breadcrumbs, curcuma, salt and pepper. Knead well, then shape 24 small meatballs. Turn the balls in sesame seed.
In a saucepan, heat the oil and fry the meatballs from all sides over medium heat until done and golden brown.
On serving plates, arrange the orange fillets, chicory leaves, carrot slices, mint leaves and raisins. Place the meatballs on top and drizzle a little of the yoghurt over the meatballs.
Serve the remaining yoghurt dip with the meatballs.
