Orange lemon white chocolate gateau details
Ingredients
- Refines flour – 1cup
- Eggs – 4
- Caster Sugar – 2/3 cup
- Butter – 60 grams (unsalted)
For Filling
- Corn Flour – 2 tbl sp
- Lemon Juice – 1/3 cup
- Tangerine Juice (keeno ka rus) – 1/3 cup
- Tangerine Rind (keeno k chilke) – 1 tsp
- Caster Sugar – 1/3 cup
- Egg Yolks – 2
- Butter – 1tbl sp
- White Chocolate – for garnishing
For Toping
- White Chocolate – 200 grams
- Cream – ½ cup
- Butter – 60 grams (unsalted)
Instructions
- Pre-heat oven at 200 C
- Line an 8 inch wide baking mould with butter paper
- Beat eggs and sugar well and fold(hath se hilain) in refined flour
- Add butter and mix well
- Put mixture in the mould and bake for 20mins
- Put 3tbl sp water and sugar, lemon juice, tangerine juice and tangerine rinds in a pot
- Cook for a while
- When sugar dissolves, add corn flour mixed in little water and cook more, then remove from flame
- Add egg yolks and butter in this and mix well
- Take it out in a bowl and leave to cool
- When cake is ready, take it out off the oven and let it cool
- Cut cake from the center into two parts, spread egg yolk mixture on the lower layer
- Place the other part on top
- Put topping ingredients in a sauce pan and cook for a while
- Let it cool
- Make a layer of the topping on the cake, garnish with white chocolate scrapping and serve
