Nuea pad kamin thai beef with fresh turmeric recipe details
Ingredients
1 tbsp | vegetable oil |
250 g | beef steak, cut into strips |
2 clove(s) | garlic, minced |
2 | turmeric, chopped |
4 | chilies (or less), chopped |
2 | tomatoes, diced (or 2 tbsp from Tetrapack) |
2 | spring onions, chopped |
2 tbsp | soy sauce |
2 tbsp | oyster sauce |
some | sugar |
some | water |
cilandro (optional) |
Instructions
Heat oil in a wok or frying pan. Add garlic and fry briefly, then add beef and stir fry. When the meat changed color, add chopped tomatoes and turmeric.Season with soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and add chilies. Deglaze with some water, and season to taste.
Add spring onions and stir briefly, for about a minute.
Arrange on two plates and sprinkle with chopped cilantro.
To chop turmeric, never use a wooden board it would have yellow stains forever. Use china.
