Notchland muddled cider recipe details
- Ingredients:
- 1/2 gallon apple cider
- 1 cup cranberry juice
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 1/2 teaspoon orange zest (can substitute several orange slices)
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 6 to 8 whole cloves
Combine all ingredients in a non-reactive pan. Heat slowly and simmer for 1/2 hour. Strain and hold at temperature while you serve.
Note:Reserve muddled flavorings and refrigerate together with any leftover liquid. Begin next day’s batch using this is a starter.
