Ingredients
2 cups bread flour (sift before measuring)
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup oleo
1 egg
2/3 cup mashed bananas
3 Tablespoons buttermilk
1/2 cup nuts
Instructions:

Sift flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda together and set aside. Cream oleo and sugar together. Beat 1 egg and stir into sugar/oleo mixture, and then add the mashed bananas. Stir the above mixture into the flour in 1/3 intervals, alternating with buttermilk and nuts. Place batter in 8 x 4-inch loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes.
