Nectarines with cream anglaise recipe details
- Ingredients:
- 2-1/2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- zest of one orange (grated peel)
- 3 Tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 eggs
- 1 Tablespoon orange-flavored liqueur
- 12 nectarines, sliced
Combine milk and zest of orange and scald. Set aside. Mix sugar and cornstarch and beat in eggs. Slowly whisk hot milk into egg mixture. Return mixture to heat. Stir while cooking until thickened. Remove from heat and add liqueur. Chill. To serve, spoon the chilled sauce on a dessert plate. Top with sliced nectarines, fanning them around the plate.
