My dutch mom's meatloaf recipe details
My mom got this recipe from an American friend about 10 years ago. She made some modifications to the recipe to perfect it. Everybody I make it for, absolutely loves it.

Ingredients
Serves: 5- 1 tablespoon salad oil
- 2 medium celery stalks, chopped
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1½ pounds ground beef
- ¾ cups rolled oats
- ¼ cup chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire
- 1½ teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup water
- barbecue sauce
Preparation method
Prep: 30 mins | Cook: 1 hour 5 mins1. Over medium heat, in hot oil, cook celery and onion until very tender, stirring occasionally.
2. In large bowl mix ground ground beef, oats, chili sauce, Worcestershire, salt, egg, celery mixture and 1/4 cup water.
3. In 13×9 inch baking pan, shape meat mixture into a loaf, pressing firmly.
4. Cover with barbecue sauce.
5. Bake in preheated oven until juices run clear, about 1 hour.
