Muggin's grand marnier french toast recipe details
- Ingredients for four people:
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup half & half
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 shot glass of Grand Marnier Liqueur
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- for zest: pulp of one orange (grated)
- Orange Sauce:
- 1 part marmalade
- 1 part orange juice
Mix thoroughly.
Cut four croissants in half and immerse in egg mixture. Saute on flat grill until golden brown. Place on plate, cover with orange sauce and decorate with several Mandarin oranges on each slice.
We also add a slice of bacon on each side, which you can do in your microwave. It makes a lovely presentation.
