Mozzarella on skewers recipe details
Ingredients
200 g | mozzarella |
4 slice(s) | bread, thick cut |
100 g | butter |
2 tbsp | tomato puree |
1 | shallot |
fresh basil | |
salt | |
4 | skewers |
Instructions
Drain the Mozzarella and cut the balls into 12 pieces of approximately the same size. Quarter the bread slices. Spike the mozzarella and bread in turn on skewers, starting and ending with bread.Stir the butter until creamy. Add the tomato purée, shallots and basil. Stir until well combined and season with salt.
Place the skewers on the grill, if possible without the mozzarella getting in contact with the rack. Turn the skewers constantly.
Serve on plates when the cheese starts to melt. Put the tomato butter for helpings on the table.
