Ingredients

Serves: 4
  • 4 uncooked bratwurst sausages
  • 2 (12 ounce) cans beer
  • 1 onion, halved and sliced
  • 3 teaspoons fennel seeds
  • 4 brat buns, toasted

Preparation method

Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 15 mins

1. Combine sausages, beer, onion, and fennel in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring the beer to a boil, then simmer covered over low heat for about 10 minutes to cook bratwurst completely.
2. Meanwhile, preheat grill to medium heat.
3. Drain sausages from cooking liquid and place on grill over indirect heat. Cook for 8 minutes, until sausage links are browned. Place on buns and serve.
