Mousaka details
Ingredients
- Eggplants -5 [round]
- Beef mince -250 grams
- Tomatoes -5
- Stock -1 cup
- Black pepper powder – 1 tsp
- Ginger/ garlic paste – 1 tbsp
- Onion – 1 [finely cut ]
- Green chillies – for garnishing
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 4 tbsp
Instructions
- Cut eggplants into round thin slices. Sprinkle salt on them and keep aside
- When they leave water, dry with paper towel. Heat oil in a pan and fry eggplants till golden. Heat oil in a pot; fry onion till golden; add mince. Add ginger/ garlic and stock and fry till water dries; add black pepper and salt and remove from flame. Grease baking dish and make layers of eggplant and mince and repeat process
- Cut tomatoes and green chillies and place on top mince
- Cook in a pre heated oven at 180 c for 20 minutes and serve hot .
