Mountain dew cake recipe details
A favorite around the dorms. It is nice, moist, and spongy.

Ingredients
Serves: 12- 1 (18.25 ounce) package white cake mix
- 3 1/4 cups of Mountain Dew(R) soft drink
- 3 eggs
- 1/3 cup cooking oil
- 1 (3 ounce) package Lime Jell-O(R) gelatin
- 1 (8 oz) package of Cool Whip(R) whipped topping
Preparation method
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 25 mins | Extra time: 2 hours, chilling1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9×13-inch pan.
2. In a large mixing bowl cake mix, 1 1/4 cup of Mountain Dew, 3 eggs, and 1/3 cup cooking oil
3. Bake the cake for 25 mins or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
4. When the cake is done poke alot of holes in the top of the cake with a fork, the more the better.
5. Boil 1 cup of Mountain Dew. When it is at a boil remove the pan from the heat. Mix in the Jell-O until completely dissolved then mix in another 1 cup of Mountain Dew. Pour on top of the cake, spreading evenly.
6. Chill for 2 hours. When cake is cold frost it with the Cool-Whip.
