Moist orange cake recipe details
Ingredients
2 large | oranges |
250 g | sugar |
200 g | ground almonds |
6 | eggs, beaten |
15 tsp | bicarbonate of soda |
1 tsp | cream of tartar |
25 g | butter |
25 g | flour |
Instructions
Boil oranges for 2 hours, cool slightly and blend whole oranges to a pulp. Combine all remaining ingredients with the orange pulp, beating well.Place in a buttered and floured cake tin. Bake at 150°C for 60-90 minutes, depending on the size of oranges and the softness of the dough. Check with a skewer if inside of cake is cooked!
