Ingredients

500 g multicoloured bell peppers, peeled and cut into strips
6 tbsp oil
2 tbsp white wine vinegar
salt and freshly ground black pepper
500 g finely ground beef
½ tsp bicarbonate of soda
2 clove(s) garlic, minced
1 tbsp fresh savory, finely chopped
½ tsp ground allspice

Instructions

In a bowl, whisk the vinegar with salt and pepper and slowly whisk in the oil. Add the bell pepper strips, toss and marinate overnight in the fridge.

In a bowl, add garlic, summer savory, bicarbonate of soda and allspice to the beef. Season with salt and pepper and knead until well combined. Allow to stand for 2 hours.

Preheat the grill. Shape the meat dough to small sausages. Brush the grill with oil and fry the sausages until golden all around and cooked through.

Serve the Mititei with the marinated bell peppers and fresh white bread.
