Mincemeat and marzipan teabread recipe details
Ingredients
230 g | flour |
115 g | butter |
80 g | sugar |
100 g | marzipan, cut into small pieces |
2 medium | eggs, beaten |
300 g | mincemeat |
2 tbsp | almonds |
icing sugar, for dusting |
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a loaf tin and line with some baking parchment. Set aside.Combine flour and butter in a bowl. Mix until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs and then stir in the sugar and the marzipan.
Mix together the mincemeat and eggs.
Combine both mixtures until well combined and spoon into the prepared pan.
Bake for 60 minutes or until a knife inserted in the centre comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and dust with the icing sugar whilst still hot.
Leave to cool in tin, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
To serve, cut into slices.
