Ingredients

1 medium vanilla pod, pulp only
1 l milk
3 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp custard powder
½ tsp salt
250 g pasta
1 glass(es) sweet cherries

Instructions

Heat the milk with the vanilla pulp, 1 tablespoon of custard powder, sugar and salt over medium heat until almost boiling. Stir in the pasta and simmer over low heat for 10-12 minutes until tender.

Drain the cherries and reserve the juice.

Transfer the cherries, 3 tablespoons of the juice and 2 tablespoons of the custard powder into a bowl and stir thoroughly. Bring the remaining juice to a boil. Add the cherries and cook stirring over low heat until smooth.

Arrange the milkpasta on serving plates and cover with cherry sauce.
