Mike's hot thai chili sauce recipe details
Well this is a main sauce in Thai cuisine. Now that I’ve been posting Thai recipes, I have to include this versatile sauce. It can be used for dipping, marinading, or to spice just about anything. I also use this sauce for lettuce wraps.

Ingredients
Serves: 12- 1 tablespoon minced cilantro roots
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 2 tablespoon chili paste or also called sambal oelek
- 1 tablespoon sweet chili paste
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon minced dried red chili pepper
- 1 cup white vinegar
- 1/2 cup rice vinegar
- 3/4 cups water
- 3/4 cups Splenda(R) sweetener or cane sugar
Preparation method
Prep: 15 mins | Cook: 15 mins1. If you have a mortar and pestle great add, cilantro roots, garlic, chili pastes, salt, and dried pepper. Mix all ingredients and grind until they are all incorporated. If you don’t have a mortar and pestle just use a bowl and the back of a soup spoon. This ensures all the flavors mix really fragrant it will almost become a paste.
2. Add both vinegars, water and sugar in a sauce pot and boil, then reduce until sugar dissolves (becomes syrupy). Remove from heat, then add the rest of the ingredients. Constantly stirring until all is incorporated. That’s all !
3. Chill or serve warm.
