Mexican nacho salad recipe details
Ingredients
1 head(s) | iceberg lettuce, washed and sliced |
500 g | minced beef |
1 bottle(s) | salsa, ready made |
1 large can(s) | kidney beans |
1 large can(s) | corn |
3 large | tomatoes, diced |
400 g | sour cream |
250 g | grated cheese |
1 pack(s) | Tortilla Chips (Nachos) |
3 small | spring onions, sliced |
salt and pepper | |
chili powder | |
paprika powder | |
oil | |
1 small | onion, chopped |
1 clove(s) | garlic, minced |
½ small | chili, chopped |
Instructions
In a saucepan, fry the minced meat, onion, garlic and chili in oil until the meat is browned. Season to taste with salt, pepper, chili powder and paprika powder, the mixture should be rather hot. Remove from the heat. Set aside and allow to cool completely.In a large salad bowl, place the iceberg lettuce at the bottom. Cover with the spicy mince. Layer with salsa, kidney beans, corn and tomatoes.
Season to taste the sour cream with salt and pepper. Top the tomatoes with the sour cream and spring onion slices. Sprinkle with the grated cheese.
To serve, garnish the salad with some tortilla chips. Serve the remaining chips in a bowl together with the salad.
