Meringue tarts with strawberries recipe details
Ingredients
180 g | sugar |
½ tsp | baking powder |
⅛ tsp | salt |
3 medium | eggs, whites only |
1 tsp | vanilla |
1 tsp | vinegar |
1 tsp | water |
strawberries, fresh or thawed, sliced |
Instructions
Sift together the sugar, the baking powder and salt. Set aside.In a separate bowl combine the egg whites, vanilla, vinegar, and water. Gradually add the sugar mixture to the egg whites beating constantly. Beat until combine well.
Place spoonfuls of the batter on a baking sheet and shape into shallow cups. Bake at 115°C for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Remove the meringues form the sheet quickly and cool them on rack. Fill with the strawberries.
