Meat balls with coconut recipe details
Ingredients
130 g | desiccated coconut |
120 ml | boiling water |
500 g | minced beef |
1 tsp | corinder seeds, dry roasted and ground |
1 tsp | cumin seeds, dry roasted and ground |
2 tsp | salt |
1 tsp | chilli powder |
2 clove(s) | garlic, finely chopped |
1 | egg, beaten |
some | plain flour |
some | groundnut oil |
Instructions
Soak the coconut in boiling water for about 3 minutes.Mix well together meat, coconut mix, coriander, cumin, salt, chili, garlic and beaten egg.
Divide the meat into evenly walnut sized portions and form into balls. Flatten the balls and dust with flour.
Fry the balls in hot oil for about 5 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
Serve with lemon or lime wedges, to squeeze over.
