2 cups flour
2 Tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup currant
6 Tablespoons butter
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 shot scotch
1 egg

Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and cinnamon. Cut in butter until the dough becomes like a fine crumb. Add currants. Combine milk, syrup, scotch, and egg. Mix well. Add to dry ingredients, and knead gently, to form a nice biscuit dough. Divide dough in half, and pat each ball into a circle about 1 inch thick. Cut circle into 8 pie shape wedges. Bake 15 minutes at 425 degrees on an ungreased cookie sheet.
