Marzipan biscuits with redcurrant filling recipe details
Ingredients
50 g | cornflour |
chocolate icing | |
redcurrant jam | |
250 g | marzipan |
175 g | soft butter |
100 g | sugar |
1 pack(s) | vanilla sugar |
1 | egg |
3 drop(s) | lemon oil |
200 g | flour |
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180°C.In a bowl, cream together the marzipan and the butter. Stir in the sugar, vanilla sugar and the oil. Whisk in the egg. Sift in the flour and the cornflour and stir until well combined.
Fill the batter into a freezer bag. Cut off one corner and extrude 5cm stripes of the batter onto a lined baking tray. Bake the biscuits for 8-10 minutes. Allow to cool.
Spread the bottom of half of the biscuits with jam and press together every two biscuits. Dip the biscuits one half each into the melted chocolate icing and allow to dry on a wire rack.
