Marinated beef skewers recipe details
Ingredients
500 g | rump steak, 2.5 cm cubes |
For the marinade: | |
2 | shallots, finely chopped |
2 clove(s) | garlic, finely chopped |
ginger root, 3 cm long, peeled and finely chopped | |
½ tbsp | coriander seeds, dry roasted and roughly crushed |
½ tsp | cumin, ground |
½ tbsp | coarsely ground black pepper |
1 tbsp | soy sauce |
¾ tbsp | groundnut oil |
½ tbsp | fresh lemon juice |
some | salt to taste |
1 tsp | grated palm sugar |
Instructions
Mix marinade ingredients, add beef and stir well to coat. Cover and place in the fridge for at least 2 hours or overnight.Thread the meat cubes onto soaked bamboo skewers. Cook on a BBQ for about 8 minutes, turning several times.
Serve immediately with e. g. Peanut Sauce or Carrot Dipping Sauce
