Maple smoked salmon recipe details
Ingredients1. Salmon fillets (4 about 5 ounces each)
2. coarse salt (1/2tbsp)
3. maple syrup (1c)
4. butter (1tbsp)
Method of preparation
1. Take Salmon fillets, clean and remove the skin from the fillets. Take a shallow baking dish, place the fillets in it and then pour the maple syrup over the top. Turn the fillets to coat them evenly. Sprinkle the salt on each side.
2. Cover the dish and keep it in the refrigerator for about 24 hours. Now prepare the smoker and take out the fillets from the refrigerator and place them in the smoker for about 1 1/2 hours at 200 degrees F.
3. When the fillets are ready to remove from the smoker then heat the butter in a frying pan. Place the fillets in the frying pan, fry about 2 minutes per side. This makes a nice glaze over the surface of the Salmon .fillets. Now the fillets are ready to serve.
