Mackenzie's three bean salad recipe details
This is a classic three bean salad that is good for vegetarians, and meat eaters alike. My four year old will eat it, and she is not crazy about beans. So we named it after her. Allow your three bean to chill and marinate in the refrigerator for up to six hours, you can of course eat this right away. I however find that it is much better after it has had time to soak in all the flavors of the “dressing”.

Ingredients
Serves: 8- 1 can cut green beans
- 1 can lima beans
- 1 can kidney beans
- 1 can cut yellow beans
- 1 onion, sliced into rings
- 1 large bell pepper
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup vinegar
- 1/3 cup oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon dry tarragon
- 1/4 teaspoon dry basil
Preparation method
Prep: 15 mins1. In a large bowl Combine beans, onion, and pepper.
2. In a separate medium sized bowl prepare the dressing by combining all other ingredients.
3. Drizzle over the top of the salad, tossing it gently with a spoon as to not break open the beans.
