Ingredients
60 g | butter |
60 g | flour |
350 ml | milk |
1 pinch(es) | nutmeg |
paprika | |
pepper | |
1 sachet | fondue cheese mixture |
4 medium | eggs, separated |
Instructions
Grease a ovenproof dish with straight high sides.
Melt the butter in a pan. Add the flour and whisk until it is all sticking together. Make sure not to burn. Add the seasoning.
Whisk in the milk and bring to a simmer, whisking constantly. Simmer slowly for about 3-5 minutes. The mixture will become very thick. Stir it off the bottom to prevent burning. Once it becomes very thick and pasty and appears to have stopped thickening, turn off the heat.
Add the egg yolk and the fondue mixture. Mix well until cheese is dissolved. Let cool down slightly.
Beat the egg whites stiff and fold into the cheese mixture.
Pour into soufflé dish and bake at 200°C for 30 minutes.
