Lou's granola recipe details
- Ingredients
- 5 cups rolled oats
- 1/2 cup oat bran
- 1/2 cup wheat germ
- 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
- 1/2 cup sesame seeds
- 1/2 cup raw peanuts (chopped)
- 1/2 cup raw pecans (chopped)
- 1/2 cup safflower oil
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1 cup chopped dates
- 1 cup sweetened cranberries
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Mix dry ingredients together in a large bowl. Combine liquid ingredients, warm, and mix together. Pour warm liquid mixture over dry ingredients and mix well. Spread out in a thin layer in a jelly roll pan (2 pans). Bake for 35 minutes. Stir every 10 minutes to prevent burning. Cool. Mix in raisins, chopped dates, and cranberries.
