Little red hen's coffeecake recipe details
- Ingredients:
- 2 sticks oleo
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups sour cream
- 4 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- Filling:
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 3/4 cup chopped nuts
Cream together oleo, sugar, and vanilla. Add eggs. Mix well. Combine flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder in separate bowl. Add dry ingredients to egg/oleo mixture alternately with sour cream. Mix well. Fill a greased bundt pan 1/2 full. Make a layer of filling. Add batter to within 1/2 inch of top of pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Use remaining batter to make 8-inch cake pan, layering as above.
Filling: Mix together brown sugar, cinnamon, and nuts. Sprinkle in center layer.
