Lime and rum bananas recipe details
Ingredients
50 g | butter |
1 | lime, grated rind and juice |
4 cl | rum |
50 g | sugar |
¼ tsp | cinnamon powder |
4 | bananas |
coconut flakes, to garnish |
Instructions
In a skillet heat the butter until frothy. Add in most of the lime rind and the lime juice, the rum, sugar and cinnamon. Bring to a brief boil.Peel the bananas and quarter them by cutting once lengthwise and once crosswise. Add into the skillet simmer for approximately 5 minutes. Frequently spoon the sauce over the bananas.
Arrange on each of the 4 plates, 4 pieces of banana with the sauce. Garnish with slightly roasted coconut flakes and a little lime rind.
Note:
Also delicious when substituting pineapple slices for the bananas.
