Lasagna with salmon and spinach recipe details
Ingredients
8 sheet(s) | of lasagna, you may need a bit more or less |
200 g | grated cheese (Cheddar or Gouda) |
1 pack(s) | spinach, frozen |
300 g | salmon fillet, diced |
250 ml | milk |
200 ml | single cream |
some | salt and pepper |
2 tbsp | flour |
2 tbsp | soft butter |
1 | onion, chopped |
1 clove(s) | garlic, minced |
nutmeg | |
100 ml | water |
1 tbsp | parsley, chopped |
Instructions
Fry the onion and the garlic in 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat until lucent. Add the spinach and 100ml of the single cream. Reduce the heat and cook until the spinach is thawed and hot. Season to taste with salt, pepper and nutmeg.Preheat the oven to 200°C.
In a saucepan, melt the remaining butter. Stir in the flour and cook over low heat until pale yellow. Pour in the milk, water and 100ml single cream and bring to a boil. Simmer over low heat for 5-10 minutes. Add the parsley and season to taste with nutmeg, salt and pepper.
Pour some of the sauce onto the bottom of a buttered casserole dish. Layer in turn lasagna sheets, spinach, lasagna sheets, some sauce, salmon, lasagna sheets, the remaining sauce and finish with the grated cheese.
Bake for 30-40 minutes.
