Kohlrabi carrot bake recipe details
Ingredients
400 g | kohlrabi, cubed |
400 g | carrots, |
2 medium | onions, chopped |
2 tbsp | butter |
2 tbsp | flour |
½ tsp | salt |
300 ml | milk |
30 g | fresh parsley, chopped |
1 tbsp | lemon juice |
For the topping: | |
50 g | breadcrumbs, moistened |
1 tbsp | butter, melted |
Instructions
Cook kohlrabi and carrots until tender. Drain.Sauté onion in butter until soft but not browned. Add flour and salt. Pour in the milk and cook and stir until thick and bubbly.
Stir in drained vegetables, parsley and lemon juice and put into a large casserole dish. Sprinkle breadcrumbs around edge and pour over melted butter.
Preheat oven to 180°C.
Bake for 20-25 minutes.
