Ingredients
- Potatoes – ½ kg (small)
- Yogurt – ½ kg
- Green cardamoms (sabz ilaichi) – 6
- Cloves (loung) – 6
- Dry kashmiri chillies – 3
- Onion – 1
- Coriander (sabut dhania) – 1 tbsp
- Cumin seeds (zeera) – 1 tbsp
- Fennel seeds (sounf) – 1 tbsp
- Black peppercorns (sabut kali mirch) – 2 tsp
- Hot spices powder(garam masala) – 2 tsp
- German chilli paste (pissi hoi degi mirch) – 2 tsp
- Turmeric (haldi) – 1 tsp
- Ginger/garlic paste – 2 tsp
- Salt – to taste
- Oil – as required
Instructions
- Boil potatoes, do not peel
- Cut onion fine
- Heat oil in a wok (karahi) and fry ginger/garlic paste, cumin seeds, fennel, coriander, black pepper and onion in it
- Add yogurt, green cardamoms, cloves, dry kashmiri chillies, hot spices, german chillies and turmeric and cook for 3 minutes
- Add boiled potatoes, and salt
- Cover the pot and cook on low flame
- Serve hot
