Juicy pork fillet recipe details
Ingredients
4 tbsp | maple syrup |
600 g | pork fillet |
600 g | carrots, peeled and thinly sliced |
600 g | potatoes, peeled and halved |
½ bunch(es) | parsley, chopped |
2 clove(s) | garlic, minced |
1 tsp | ground cloves |
salt and freshly ground black pepper | |
4 tbsp | oil |
200 ml | vegetable stock |
Instructions
Mix the maple syrup with garlic and ground cloves. Turn the meat in the marinade and allow to soak for 1 hour in the fridge.Preheat the oven to 175°C. In an ovenproof pan, heat 2 tablespoons of oil. Fry the meat all around for 4-5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Transfer into the oven and roast for 15-20 minutes.
Heat the remaining oil and sauté the potatoes and the carrots for 5 minutes. Pour in the stock, bring to a boil, cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the potatoes are done.
Remove the meat from the oven and allow to stand for 5 minutes. Cut the meat into slices.
Arrange the meat and the vegetables on serving plates and serve sprinkled with the parsley.
