Indian pudding recipe details
Ingredients
700 ml | milk |
90 g | cornmeal |
60 g | sugar |
2 tsp | cinnamon |
¼ tsp | salt |
240 ml | whipping cream |
2 large | eggs, beaten |
2 tsp | vanilla extract |
1 tbsp | butter, cut into small pieces |
Instructions
Preheat oven to 180°C. Lightly grease a baking dish.In medium saucepan bring milk to a boil over medium heat.
Combine cornmeal, sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a medium bowl and gradually beat hot milk into cornmeal mixture. Return to saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring constantly until thickened.
In a nother bowl, combine cream, eggs and vanilla and beat well.
Add cream mixture into cornmeal mixture and transfer to the baking dish. Dot with butter.
Bake for 45-50 minutes.
