If for some reason you aren’t using your slow cooker to make meat, you can use it to make a big batch of tasty spiced cider.
Ready in: 3 hours 10 mins

Ingredients

Serves: 6
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 24 whole cloves
  • 5 cups apple cider
  • 1 1/3 cups orange juice
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Preparation method

Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 3 hours

1. Wrap cinnamon sticks and cloves in cheesecloth, securing with kitchen string. Place in a 3- to 5-quart slow cooker and add remaining ingredients.
2. Cook on LOW for 1 hour. Take out the cheesecloth bundle and cook for 2 more hours, then serve.
