Hot fruit compote recipe details
Ingredients
600 g | canned pears |
600 g | canned peaches |
400 g | canned pineapple chunks |
120 g | dried apricots |
120 g | dried prunes |
120 g | dried cherries |
2 tbsp | sugar |
60 ml | brandy |
¼ tsp | nutmeg, freshly grated |
100 g | almonds, sliced |
Instructions
Preheat oven to 180°C.Drain canned fruit and reserve the syrup and juice. Mix together syrup and juice.
Cut pears and peaches into small pieces and layer canned and dried fruit in a large casserole.
Combine brown sugar and brandy, mix well and pour over fruit. Pour reserved juice mixture over fruit until covered. Sprinkle with nutmeg and almonds.
Bake uncovered for 45 minutes. Serve warm.
