Ingredients

600 g canned pears
600 g canned peaches
400 g canned pineapple chunks
120 g dried apricots
120 g dried prunes
120 g dried cherries
2 tbsp sugar
60 ml brandy
¼ tsp nutmeg, freshly grated
100 g almonds, sliced

Instructions

Preheat oven to 180°C.

Drain canned fruit and reserve the syrup and juice. Mix together syrup and juice.

Cut pears and peaches into small pieces and layer canned and dried fruit in a large casserole.

Combine brown sugar and brandy, mix well and pour over fruit. Pour reserved juice mixture over fruit until covered. Sprinkle with nutmeg and almonds.

Bake uncovered for 45 minutes. Serve warm.
