Hot Buttered Rum

This drink makes me look forward to blizzards. Nothing’s better during a white out than to whip up a batch of buttered rum and sit warm by the window or fire.

Ingredients
Serves: 1
- Hot water
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 2 ounces dark rum
- 1 pat unsalted butter
- Sprinkle of nutmeg, optional
Preparation method
Prep: 5 mins
1. Boil or heat water in microwave until hot. Spoon sugar into a mug. Pour about 2 tablespoons of hot water into mug and stir until sugar is dissolved. Pour in rum, and top with butter. Add more hot water as desired. Sprinkle with nutmeg if you like.
