Honey balsamic fig glaze recipe details
Ingredients
100 ml | honey |
180 ml | hot water |
60 ml | balsamic vinegar |
150 g | dried figs |
⅛ tsp | cloves, ground |
1 medium | onion, diced |
3 tbsp | olive oil |
1 tbsp | fresh rosemary |
salt and pepper, to taste |
Instructions
Combine honey, hot water, vinegar, figs and cloves in a bowl. Let the mixture stand for 15 minutes.Sauté the shallots in oil over low heat, stirring occasionally, until they are softened. Add the honey fig mixture and bring to a simmer.
Add the herbs and cook, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
Purée in a blender until smooth.
