Ingredients
8 large | figs, cut crosswise to open |
2 tbsp | walnuts, roasted and chopped |
2 tbsp | almonds, roasted and chopped |
4 tbsp | pistachios, roasted and chopped |
3 tbsp | honey |
8 tbsp | ricotta cheese |
1 tbsp | icing sugar |
12 | dates |
2 tbsp | orange liqueur |
some | rosewater |
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 200°C.In a bowl, mix together the roasted and chopped nuts and the honey.
Fill each fig with one tablespoon of the nut mixture. Place the figs on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake for 10 minutes. Remove the figs from the oven.
Place the baked figs in a saucepan and sprinkle with rosewater. Add the orange liqueur. Heat and cook for 1 minute. Remove from the heat and allow to cool.
In a small bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese and the icing sugar..
To serve:
Place the figs on a serving plate. Top each fig with a spoonful of the ricotta cheese mixture and decorate with the dates.
