Fig compote recipe details
Ingredients
250 g | figs, chopped |
juice of 1 orange | |
1 tsp | sugar |
120 ml | dry red wine |
3 sprig(s) | thyme |
240 ml | water |
Instructions
Squeeze the orange and combine the juice with the figs and sugar.Leave to marinate for 10 minutes, and then the remaining ingredients into a large saucepan.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes until liquid thickens, stirring occasionally.
Discard the thyme sprig and cool.
