Hawaiian banana nut bread recipe details
- Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup applesauce
- 2 cups mashed ripe bananas
- One 8-ounce can crushed pineapple, drained
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Combine flour, salt, baking soda, sugar and cinnamon; stir in the pecans. Combine remaining ingredients; add to the flour mixture, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.
Spoon batter into 2 greased and floured 8-1/2 x 4-/12 x 3-inch loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes. Remove from pans. Let cool on cooling racks.
