Halloween cupcakes recipe details
Ingredients
125 g | plain flour |
25 g | cocoa powder |
½ tsp | baking powder |
150 g | sugar |
75 g | butter, softened |
1 | egg |
8 tbsp | milk |
50 g | cream cheese |
150 g | icing sugar |
½ tsp | vanilla essence |
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180°CBeat together flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, sugar, 50 g of butter, the egg and milk in a bowl until well combined and thick.
Divide the batter into 9 cupcake paper cases and bake for about 25 minutes. The cupcakes are ready, when a knife, inserted in the centre, comes out clean. Let cool.
For the cream cheese icing:
Whisk 25g butter with the cream cheese, 125g icing sugar and vanilla extract until well combined. Spread the icing onto the cupcakes.
For the chocolate icing:
Sift 25g icing sugar and 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder into a bowl, add 2 tablespoons of water and stir until well combined and smooth.
Fill the chocolate icing into a piping bag with a fine nozzle. For drawing a cobweb, pipe 3 circles on each cupcake and run a toothpick from the centre to the edges in equal intervals of about 2cm.
The icing needs about 20 minutes to harden.
