A hearty soup with an unusual flavor that can be made low carb by using green beans instead of mixed veggies.

Ingredients
Serves: 12
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 medium onion
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon basil (crushed)
- 3/4 teaspoons paprika
- 4 tablespoons Lea & Perrins(R) Worcestershire sauce
- 3 (5.5 ounce) cans tomato juice
- 1 (32 ounce) container chicken stock
- 1 bag frozen mixed vegetables
- 1/2 head cabbage, chopped
Preparation method
Prep: 30 mins | Cook: 2 hours
1. Place oil and butter in large pot on medium high heat, cook until onion begins to brown then add ground beef, add salt and pepper. When ground beef is browned, add chili powder, basil, paprika and Worcestershire, stir well. Add tomato juice, stir and add chicken stock and frozen vegetables. Bring to boil and cook for 30 minutes and then add cabbage, reduce heat and let simmer until all veggies are fully cooked, taste (caution, its HOT) and adjust spice.
