Grilled baby back ribs with triple sauce recipe details
The key to tender ribs? Plenty of moisture. And while you’re adding moisture, might as well make it good, right? This lucky set of ribs gets three different sauces to create amazing flavor.

Ingredients
Serves: 6- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup mustard
- 1/4 cup sweet smoked paprika
- 1/4 cup chili powder
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 2 tablespoons peach-flavor gelatin powder
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 4 (1 1/2 pound) racks baby back ribs
- 1 cup apple juice
- 1/2 cup honey
- 4 ounces butter
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/4 cup apricot preserves
- 1/4 cup water
- 8 (12-inch) squares aluminum foil
Preparation method
Prep: 25 mins | Cook: 4 hours 20 mins1. Preheat grill to low heat.
2. Whisk water with sugar, mustard, paprika, chili powder, salt, gelatin, and Worcestershire. Coat ribs with mixture and place on grill. Cook over indirect heat for 2 1/2 hours.
3. Combine apple juice, honey, and butter in a saucepan and place over medium heat. When the butter melts, remove from heat. Pour sauce evenly into four of the foil squares, place a rib rack on each, and fold the foil up. Cover with second piece of foil.
4. Place foil packets on grill (bone side up) and cook for 1 hour. Unwrap the ribs and grill bone side down for 30 more minutes.
5. While ribs are grilling unwrapped, whisk barbecue sauce with preserves and water. When the ribs have finished the 30 minute grilling, coat with glaze and grill for 20 final minutes. Cut into serving portions, drizzle with extra glaze, and serve.
