Greek style burger recipe details
Ingredients
350 g | minced beef |
350 g | minced lamb |
2 | onions, 1 sliced, 1 chopped |
6 | hamburger buns, halved |
1 | egg |
4 tbsp | grated cheese |
4 tsp | greek herbs |
12 leaves | lettuce |
3 | tomatoes, sliced |
500 g | Greek style cabbage salad |
200 g | Greek style yoghurt and cucumber sauce (tzatziki) |
2 tbsp | oil |
salt and pepper |
Instructions
Mix together the meat, chopped onion, cheese, egg and herbs. Knead well and season with salt and pepper. Shape 6 burger patties.In a pan, heat the oil and fry the patties from both sides until golden brown.
Spread the bottom side of the burgers with tzatziki. Layer each with 2 lettuce leaves, 1 patty, a little cabbage salad, some tomato slices and onion slices and finish with a dollop of tzatziki.
Cover with the upper side of the burger buns and serve immediately.
