My wife’s grandmother makes these every year around Christmas time … don’t last very long though!

Ingredients
Serves: 2- 3/4 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 cup margarine – needs to be at room temperature
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 cup old fashioned oats
- Hershey’s(R) chocolate bars
- pecan halves
Preparation method
Prep: 2 hours 30 mins | Cook: 8 mins1. Mix flour, soda, and salt together in one large bowl.
2. Cream sugars, margarine, egg, and vanilla together in another bowl.
3. Mix these two bowls together and then mix in the oats. Add more oats if the mixture seems too wet.
4. Spoon batter onto waxed paper and roll it up so it makes a roll that is 2 inches in diameter.
5. Chill in refrigerator for at least two hours or more.
