Grand maman leclair's banana bread recipe details
- Ingredients
- 1 cup Criscoshortening
- 3 cups sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups mashed ripe bananas
- 4 cups flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 cup walnuts
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl, mix all of the ingredients except walnuts together. Batter should be slightly lumpy. Pour mixture into greased and floured bread pans. Top with decoratively places walnut halves. Bake in 350-degree oven for about 45 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool about 5 minutes before removing from pan. Serve.
